All Merkur safety razors use double edge razor blades (you can view our full range of double edge razor blades here). By shaving with a single blade you will reduce the irritation that some men can get during shaving as well as saving a lot of money when compared to modern cartridge razor blades. Razor blade prices start from only 15p per blade! Merkur razors are available with a chrome finish and some models are also available in gold and satin finish. The Progress and Futur models are adjustable which allows you to set the blade gap on the razor. The higher the setting, the more the razor blade is exposed to the skin which results in a more aggressive shave. This allows you to set the razor to give you the closest shave possible without getting any irritation.
Due to high demand, Merkur currently have a waiting time of 9 months which means we can sometimes be out of stock of certain razors for long periods of time. Although we have frequent deliveries, they are unable to give us any timescales for when razors will be available again.
