This is Not too Light or too Heavy and has a Lovely length Handle.
Do not worry about the OC as it is not an Aggressive Razor and gives a Fantastic Shave. I love it and will use it often. Everyone should have one of these in the Shave Den IMHO.......
Stepped up from a closed comb a little trepidation as there is more of the blade on show and a little afraid that the bathroom might look a new shade of red and white but it was a lovely shave and the razor is well made and a joy to use. Thank you once more T.S.C. superb service as always.
Ideal size for everyday use or travel as the three piece design makes it easy to pack. Gives a nice close shave using a good quality shaving cream and the compact head allows easy access to tricky areas. In my experience with this type of head several days growth can be removed with little effort compared to multiblade disposables which clog even on a daily shave.

Have to say this is one aggressive little (large?) shaver compared to the cheap & nasty DE's I've been using as a re-introduction to the good ole wet shaving I used to enjoy (not) in my youth 30 years ago. Very sharp very close. I was expecting the nicks I used to suffer but lo & behold none other than a little redness.
Surprisingly close shave (better than electric was expected but closer than those expensive 5 bladers? -Certainly). With a little more practice (& patience) I'm certain I've made a good (& economic) decision to return to DE shaving.
Such a shame the angle isn't adjustable. Already thinking about a "Mergress" but not available in UK (yet). I wonder if this seller will eventually get access to them?
I am using this razor with Japanese Feather blades, the longer handle gives me good control over shave angle and I find that the razor damps down these aggressively sharp blades to give me a good smooth shave with no burn, an excellent razor!

Merkur 25C, open comb and long handle is the best safety razor in my opinion. With "open comb" option you can obtain the old and traditional wet shave.
