For almost a century, Proraso has transformed the art of shaving into a pleasurable daily ritual. The year was 1948 when Piero Martelli, on the eve of an economic boom, invented the Proraso Pre Shave Cream. A product whose freshness embodied the spirit of a new found era in Italy. Proraso modelled the new renaissance that was spreading through-out Italy- a fresh new approach to living. Today, as it did then, Proraso meets the needs of its consumers, giving all Italians a perfectly close and refreshing shave.

I found this cream lathers well and helps to prevent my sensitive skin from irritation when shaving. No strong aroma to compete with aftershave .
After trying various creams, lotions and potions, proraso was the product that satisfied my skin, coupled with Proraso pre-shave cream and lotion .No skin burns, irritations just a pleasurable shaving experience
Not a bad cream, but not as good as Taylors. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't work for me.
Very good product, I like it
This shaving cream is wonderful. Lathers pretty well and really moisturizing.
This is more of a soap than a cream it lathers very well in hard water seems to last forever and at £5.50 has to be the best value soap/cream available. Don't spend £20+ on a fancy name buy this and save £14.50 a tub. After all Italians know a thing or two on how to produce great shaving goods.

Somewhere between a soap and a cream, this is a very good product: rich & creamy & lathers well, especially with a badger brush. Not quite so successful with a bristle brush, particularly when lathering up for a second pass: I found I needed to re-soap the brush. Probably says more about the brush, though, than the Proraso.
I use this with the Pre-Shave Cream. I love it - does what it says on the tin/jar/tub (even though I can't read italian) but it definitely works, producing a rich, creamy lather; and it comes at a very reasonable price too. If for some strange reason you don't particularly like the smell, it doesn't hang around; personally, I like to have a quick sniff even when I'm not shaving - it's like a breath of fresh, nordic air!
I didn't like the smell of this one. It lathers well but not as well as Taylors.
Great product, leaves a very fresh, cool feeling post-shave and smells great. Not sure how to describe the smell exactly, but it has light citrus-y smell. It requires a bit more work to generate a good lather for me, compared to EJ soaps, but I enjoy using it and tend to use it on when I have a few days growth.
Great product leaves the skin nice and hydrated when shaving. It doesn't dry out to quick on the face. I use this in my barber shop the most.
I have a very sensitive skin and never got a great shave using an electric razor. I switched to wet shaving about a year and a half ago and have tried dozens of shaving creams (Art of shaving, Edwin Jagger, Taylor of Old bond street, Truefitt & Hill, Trumper etc). I didn't see much improvements after switching to wet shaving and got either ingrown hairs or razor burns (most of the time) and almost quit wet shaving. I decided to give it another go and try a few other shaving creams. I've been using this Proraso product for about 3 weeks now and will never use anything else. I don't get any ingrown hair or razor burns and never get any cuts. My skin looks great and is very smooth and I don't have any irritations anymore. Proraso is also very cheap compared to some other brands. FYI, I use a DE razor.
As you probably know, everyone's skin is different and even though this is the best product I have ever used it might be as good for you. But If you have a very sensitive skin and struggle with wet shaving then give it a go!
Great product doesn't dry out to fast, lathers up really well.
