A good brush for a good price

My previous silver tipped brush having given up the ghost after about 10 years I decided to purchse one of these. In my view it is an excellent product costing much less that a Jermyn Street replacement of the one which has worn out.

A lot of brush for the money

This brush is well worth the price. In fact I would expect a brush of this quality to be substantially more expensive. It is very densely packed which means it keeps its shape in use; a little stiffer than my older silver tip it lathers brilliantly with little effort and holds a lot. The other good feature is the design of the handle which looks elegant and offers a good shape to hold - big enough without being clumsy. Virtually no shedding of hair too!
It fits my Edwin Jagger wire stand with minimal adjustment too.

Nice brush. It is very soft and there are a very large number of hairs in it, so many indeed that the brush looks much fatter than in the image. I find, contrary to someone else's Review that in fact, it does not lather as easily as a stiffer brush that I have used for years. This may be because of the softness of the brush. Would I buy one again? I would probably buy one that this grade of hairs in it but I would look for one whose brush head was actually a bit thinner. So, that sounds like I want a less luxurious brush doesn't it? True. I suspect that such a brush would actually make it easier to create a good lather and place that lather exactly where I want it on my face. The wide soft head on this brush means that it is hard to be accurate when applying the lather.

Finally, it does not properly fit the 'Chrome Shaving Brush Stand' that I bought at the same time. This means that it does not hang straight beneath the stand but is apt to tip to an angle. The Traditional Shaving Brush Company, being on line specialists should have caught that before the order was closed.

It's a thing of beauty! I've only had the cheaper brush for a couple of years (the one that comes with the starter kit) so I was interested to see if it was worth the large price difference. It is! Extremely soft and seems to lather up a lot quicker. Great service as always from you guys.

My son bought this for my birthday gift in Nov 13, I've waited before giving a review to see how it's gone and I can say I'm VERY pleased with the quality. I told my colleague at work (we're in our 50's what I had and he went and purchased a far cheaper brush, were I rave about june he explains he has more hair on his face after he's used the cheap brush than before he's started to shave.
You understand I've not had several brushes along one another to compare, all I can say is it feels a quality item, than son.
