Sandalwood Shaving Cream 150g

Very bad reaction

Unfortunately I had a terrible reaction to this cream, seems to be a lot of ingredients listed on the product that potentially cause reactions. Not had this with many other brands. Disappointing.

It's how shaving cream used to be.
No foam in a can, but a rich, creamy lather.
And the sandalwood aroma will stay with you throughout the day.

This shaving soap/cream is my favourite. If that wasn't good enough, the plastic container is really, really good. Whatevever yo do, don't let your accountants make you substitute this for some cheap nasty alternative!

I was looking for the aroma of my Dad shaving.
If this isn’t it exactly, it’s pretty close.
I might try the cedarwood also, as I think that is also one of the old time scents.

Returning to DE shaving after being away for 25 years. I have also purchased the soap version to see how I got on.
Definitely prefer the cream, much easier to build a rich lather and the scent is stronger, thoughby no means overpowering.
For me it’s nice enough to not require a scented aftershave, but then I don’t like wafting around in a cloud of aroma, no matter how good it smells.

AA really thick cream that you don't need much of to get a lovely rich lather that smells very good as well. This my second tub of Sandlewood, after one of Cedarwood. Both versions are excellent.

Purchased along with a Murker HD34C razor. First impressions, lovely smell and with practice, I'll get the consistency perfect. No issues with razor burn (suffered a lot using Gillette Mach blades and gel).

Just to echo other reviews, this is an amazing shaving cream. It lathers beautifully to give a lovely velvety thick foam with just the right amount of lubrication, for a really close and satisfying shave. Oh, and that fragrance is simply sublime, not overpowering, but very subtle and long lasting. This is, without any doubt, my favourite shaving cream to date! Buy some now, you won't regret it!!! :)

Big fan of Taylor's products; lovely creams that offer a very clean and smooth shaving experience. They lather very easily with just a little and this Sandalwood version has a very traditional scent. An excellent cream to start with if you are a complete beginner and a wonderful one to use if you're not.

I have purchased Sandalwood shaving cream from your three times.
Whilst the product impresses me in every way ( I refuse to buy aerosol shaving foam because at 70 years of age I am somewhat a traditionalist) it is the service that impresses me the most.
Each package contains a somewhat personal touch.
This time it was the inclusion of three fudge toffees in the polystyrene " worms " in the box.
Although this may seem to be "trivia" it is this small touch that sets the company above the competition.

Never used a high quality shaving cream such as this before, but within seconds of use the results were noticed. Would recommend using with a badger brush for best results. Fantastic product!

Always love the smell of this shaving cream. It is excellent quality and a very reasonable price. Customer service is excellent and prompt delivery. Unfortunately one of the tubs was cracked and leaking on arrival. Not the fault of Taylor's as it was packed well. Therefore must have badly handled along the way. My son was delighted with it as the smell reminds him of his father.

You do not need much of this it lathers up into a luxurious, rich cream and the scent is great. Good value and service from TSC top it off.

Long lasting shaving soap which constantly gives an excellent lather. The perfume though does dissipate rather quickly though.

This is so far the best shaving cream I have ever used in my life. It has a wonderful avocado smell. It smells so great I wanted to eat it as Guacamole next to my meal. Leaving the joke aside it really performs incredibly well. I felt like I have never had such better shave before. Strongly recommended.

Purchased the sandalwood shaving cream for my husband. He has been using this product for years. Its good quality, lasts ages and smells nice.

Have been using T.of old B. St shaving cream for man-years now from a chance Christmas present. Unfortunately both recent Christmas and Birthday requests were ignored and had I run out recently. Bought another so called famous make and I'm using it at present. There is no comparison to 'Taylors of old Bond Street' products. Just taken delivery of 3 tubs from 'The Traditional Shaving Co.' and will make certain I don't run short again.

Good but not as amazing as I was expecting. I really wanted to love this product, but instead I find I only like it. I have had some good shaves with it but I don't find it as consistently good as some other (very cheap) cream from the supermarket. Smells nice - subtle, slightly earthy old fashioned sort of smell - and will last for ever as it's a large tub and you don't need much. Definitely good value. A nice luxury cream even if it doesn't perform quite as well as some other cheap ones. Traditionalshaving.co.uk were fantastic, delivered promptly in nice custom packaging. Would definitely use this site again.

Bought this shaving cream during a visit to the TSC's shop in Leeds after reading the positive comments; and I have to say I'm not disappointed. Excellent product. Lathers really well with either badger or bristle, and there is enough on the brush for at least 2 passes.

Selected the Sandalwood cream as was by far the most popular cream here and wasn't disappointed. Reminded me of the old barber shop aroma and smells and lathers up great. Will try some other scented creams in the future no doubt but will stock up on this again.

For me, this is the standard that other creams must match. Perfect consistency, great smell which doesn't overpower any scent used afterwards but, depending on what you use, can actually enhance some EDT's or aftershaves.

Disappointed as I'd been looking forward to using one of Taylor's products, however I found this lacked any distinctive scent and also irritated my skin. It has been assigned to the bathroom cabinet after only two shaves; I will now continue with my tried, trusted and favoured Prorazo.

I'm a newbie, but it was very easy to get a decent lather from this and the smell is good too; it doesn't smell too strong or linger too long, but it's a pleasant scent.

I have been using Taylors Sandlewood shaving soap for about ten years and I fully recommend this product its the best that iv used if you want a good wet shave then this is for you.

Nice pleasant scent, decent lather but fairly expensive for what you get compared to say the Gillette bowl. Worth it though.

I already use this Cream and have all the Taylor's in Rotation. This is my favourite scent and my Stepson so admired all of my equipment he want's to change over to DE shaving too. He loves the smell of the Sandalwood too so I have bought him some as part of a starter Kit from this site, including a Black Razor, Ebony Brush, and Derby Blades.
I think he will be pleasantly surprised on his Birthday Next week.
The Taylor's Creams are particular suited to the newly initiated as they are easy to get a good lather from especially if you have not lathered up before. I see a few lessons on the Horizon.
I have tried other Sandalwood soaps and creams, but this sure takes some beating on Scent and usability!!!!

I bought this as a gift for my dad. He says it has a great smell, produces a wonderful lather and leaves his skin moisterised after his shave. Would definitely repurchase.

Son purchased as part of a christmas gift in 2013, I have to agree with several others that the fragrance is very nice but as I've now neared the bottom of the container it has very little smell left, however a really nice lather.

I have had a lovely morning; Shower whilst bowl and brush were warming, then my first ever DE Shave using this particular shaving cream. What a fantastic product! Lather easy to achieve and has the most amazing Fragrance that I can still smell now even through my Aftershave.
After years of Mach 11 and Fusion gel etc, I am totally converted to this Traditional shaving method. Will give away all my old products and gradually work my way through all of Taylor's other scented Creams and soaps.

I love the smell and its creamy lather. Sometime I add a drop of grapefruit essential oil in shaving bowl when use it. Despite of excellent grade, my favourite shaving creams are russian "Everest" and "Apple-tree blossoms". They are extremely cheap and showing best results of all I ever used.

I've had several different flavours from Taylor before so I was expecting a good product and I was not disappointed. Excellent lather although probably not my favourite smell which would be lavender. Previously I have bought products from Taylor via Amazon but as they wanted nearly as much for post and packing as the product cost I went straight to Taylor instead and was delighted to have free P&P!

The product is a very good quality product. I was disappointed though as when both products arrived by post the cream was all over both pots and looked so messy. Just be wary that pots delivered may not arrive in the condition you would expect. Will not use their postal service again will order directly from Taylors of Bond street as items arrive in perfect condition.

What a brilliant product, on a completely different plain to the aerosols of gel/foam from the "big boys", the razor just glides across your face giving you a wonderful close shave with no razor burn. The smell is an added bonus!!

You do not need to use a lot of the product to get a good lather.The scent is not to strong so ideal for people like me that are allergic to strong perfumes in soap & after shave product's.

Love it, its got a great smell, in fact my 21 year old son liked it so much he used it, so it must be good, I use it with a silver tipped badger brush and this produces a thick creamy lather that softens the whiskers and helps the blade glide across the face, leaving you smelling great, its also super value for money.

Excellent! :) Gives a very slick cream that holds right to the end. For best performance, you need to experiment with the "wetness" of your shaving brush: too thin and your blade will drag, too thick and the blade will clog, spoiling your shave. When rinsed off, your face feels smooth and the gentle fragrance can last all day! The service was brill too! Arrived before the estimate and well packaged too! Really clever using fudge as a packaging material - sooo recyclable - in my tummy :)

Very nice cream, would purchase again but maybe another sent. You only need a very little tho on your brush, i started using to much got a bowl full of lather but my tub is has gone down very quick!
