Love everything about this shaving soap, the scent of sandalwood, the rich creamy lather it produces, the longevity of this product, the condition and feeling of my skin after shaving and with the added bonus of the handcrafted wooden bowl which is of great quality and looks very stylish is yours to keep and with the cost of the refills being half price makes the initial outlay of this product worth buying and I would certainly recommend it.

Hot water, good brush and you can work up a cream like thick lather with the aroma of rose and sandalwood. Works superbly with my Mercur Futur.

This is the only shaving soap I have tried and I see no reason to try another. Easy to create a good lather - even with 'hard water'. An elegant, subtle fragrance and the bowl can be used to house future re-fill soaps. The lather offers excellent 'glide' for the razor.

Wonderful soap. Creates a wonderfully luxurious lather which is easily achieved which makes the shaving experience so much more enjoyable. To top it off, my skin feels softer than if I washed my face with a face cleanser.

This stuff is amazing, have been having the best shaves ever! I have suffered with razor bumps for a wile now and was sick of them. Switched to a safety razor and started with sandalwood but in the cream. The cream was good but the cushion to the skin this soap gives is something else. My skin was very grateful, no nicks, no irritation, just smooth. This has since literally eliminated by bumps, of course thats a lot to do with switching to a safety razor but I truly believe this soap has helped just as much. High quality product and one very happy customer. Works into a very generous lather and smells amazing. Shaving is now no longer a bore and much more a joy!! To top it all off, great service from this company swell. What more do you want!!

Only 4 stars as a 5-star product should be perfect and I think that at the start the soap shouldn't be as high as the rim of bowl - as it is, the first few times the lather will spread over the rim of the bowl. THAT is the only thing I have against this product

Very good quality soap. Stays nice and hard but lathers well, a good combination. It is not over scented as are some - subtle rather than overpowering. The wooden bowl is very nicely made. From a design point of view, I would prefer a half thread screw on top for travelling, rather than having to resort to a rubber band but I suppose that is what their stick is designed for.
An excellent product gives a very smooth shave, easy to apply. Reccommended.

Hugely impressed. Lathers quickly and very well. Provides excellent cushioning . The scent could be stronger in my opinion but this is unlikely to suite everyone. This is the shaving soap which all others should be judged against.
The bowl is very well crafted and looks smart. The soap takes a bit to lather, but wetting the brush and whipping in the bowl for 30-seconds or so creates a nice thick lather which feels and works great.

A lovely soap, and a lovely scent. One word of caution though: getting it to lather well in hard water is quite a job. Unlike the equivalent shaving cream. The soap is somewhat smoother than the cream however.
This soap smells great and it produces a fantastic lather. I think it will last a long time and it comes in an attractive wooden bowl. When the soap has gone for a few pound you can purchase a refill. Excellent!

Does what is says in the tin. As it s very full when new, the soap runs over the sides when foaming it up. Hopefully this will be contained once the soap drops down a bit

I have already commented on this excellent soap after buying the refill earlier so this is about the bowl. A good quality smooth finished wood with a nice grain showing and the lid has a lip to sit over the bowl nicely and a small thumb index finger lifter. It’s not a very tight fit but then I have another two brands of wooden bowl and they are much the same so it’s no different from the others. I would recommend this as it means that the puck can be held easily within the bowl when picking up soap on the brush.
