Cracked and chipped within a week of use and before I knew it a chunk of the rim came off.
Nice looking bowl which was bought as a present. Expensive but worth it. Usual great service from Traditional Shaving Company who are a pleasure to deal with.
What a great product this is! Aside from the stylishness of it, it is a good-sized bowl, easy to hold in the hand; and the small mound at the bottom of the bowl really does help to whip up an excellent lather. I have tried both soap and cream, badger brushes and bristle - all with first-rate results.
Just one caveat; if you're rinsing it out under the tap, be careful not to bash it against the sink; it is ceramic, after all!
Plus the usual excellent service from TSC! Can't say better than that.

This is an excellent shaving bowl which I used for the first time this weekend. It is shaped with a raised centre and steep sloping sides which makes it easy to mix up a good foam with out getting any splashed over the sides. The black colour also makes the shaving cream really easy to see. Reasonably small and compact, light and looks stylish.
