The device is robust and has a suitably heavy base to support the brush without being likely to tip over in normal use. Unfortunately, it does not fit the brush I bought alongside it. The brush will only hang in the holder if it placed so that the shoulder in the handle nearest to the bristles is above the hanger. I.e. it will not hang as shown in the illustration because the brush, an 'Ivory Silver Tip Badger Shaving Brush 100' has a handle whose diameter is too large to fit into the holder. The Traditional Shaving Brush Company should have known that and sold me kit that fits together.
