I wish I'd bought the tub now. I took a chance and bought the 75g tube because it was cheaper and in case I didn't like the scent. I've been trying out different Sandalwood scented creams recently, and the last time I'd bought a tub (one of the rival brands), I was disappointed with the scent. I was hoping for something more woody when I bought this: Marlborough didn't disappoint on that front!
The cream does indeed lather very well with minimum effort. I live in a soft water area, but a previous reviewer has said it lathers well in hard water. I didn't have to use a great deal of cream to get enough lather for 3 passes. I'd expect this tube to last me a good while with average use.
The scent is definitely woody compared to some other rival 'Sandalwood' creams, which I've found to be more on the spicy side of fragrances. However, even if you prefer a spicy scent I don't think there's anything to dislike about the scent of Marlborough.
Overall, I think this D R Harris cream is one of the many underrated gems. I'll be buying it again.
