The bowl is ridged to help build lather quickly and it has steep sides to ensure the lather doesn't overflow. Each piece is shaped by hand and finished with a unqiue spinach green glaze. Thrown In stone was founded by Leeds based ceramic artist Gary in 2010 and produces a large range of unique handmade pottery items. Mainly working with white Stoneware Gary produces unique functional and decorative pieces as well as small scale sculptural work. A wide range of techniques are used including wheel throwing, slab building, coiling and casting. Gary is particularly interested in colour and surface design and is constantly fascinated by how different glazes interact with each other to give a truly unique finish.

Attractive and functional.
This is a great looking and functional piece of shaving kit. It is solidly made and does a great job of producing a good lather, which it keeps warm for enough time to have a leisurely shave.
This is a quality scuttle, well made, sturdy, it weighs 610g. I was not expecting the size, its just right, it stands 75mm tall, front of spout to back of handle is 175mm, the actual opening is 90mm diameter.
Plenty of room for my Simpsons Chubby1 to mix a great lather, and filled with boiling water kept the brush nice and warm for three passes, highly recomended. Shame you cant add photos on the review.
I bought this as a gift for my partner. It is well made and looks good. I'm sure he will be delighted with it.
