This is a marvellous piece of kit. It's my first 'proper' razor after a lifetime of multi-blade devices (I'm 59!) and I wish I'd converted years ago. The first few shaves resulted in a few nicks, but practice as they say, makes perfect ~ and with this razor ~ perfection comes quickly. The term ~ 'Smooth as a babies bottom' could have been written for this one. I actually shave my head as well as my face and for that operation the handle is a little short for perfectly comfortable shaving (and my hands are rather large) when reaching right over my head, so I am going to complement it with the Muhle 89 Grande for head shaving. Having said that, If this had been available long handled, it would be unbeatable! The gold plate makes it particularly attractive if you like something a little out of the ordinary.
A luxury product for people with fine taste and high expectations; quality tool for shaving and strongly recommended.
I got this as a gift for my other half and he loves it. He says the weight is perfect and give a really clean shave. It also takes the blades from anywhere which is a bonus as I dont have to buy specialist blades :). All round good product to be fair.
