The Edwin Jagger D89 is rightfully a classic DE razor. It is beautifully made and a joy to use. If I have any complaint at all it is that the head could be slightly wider so that the blades don't protrude from the sides, but that is such a small criticism of this superb piece of Sheffield engineering.

I found the handle a little short for my tastes and it took me a few goes to get used to the right cutting angle, but I'd never go back to my Mach 3 after using using this.

Holds well. Can be a bit slippery when wet. Cuts beautifully! You don't even feel the blade much!

Between this and the 34C I think I'd go with DE89 because it is cheaper and almost the same, 34C is shorter.
