IMO, this is one of the great bargains, not only among English shaving soaps but also among the shaving soaps of France, Germany and Italy.
How can a soap that sells for so few dollars, be so outstanding in glide, cushion, moisturizing and closeness of shave.
You have very little to lose by trying this little known gem.

This is my second soap after Col Conk and I admit the quality is waaay downgraded. This one is not at all intimate with the skin and nowhere near exfoliating. It is rather a warm version of the Gillete foam.
I can melt Col Conk in a microwave to fill my bowl, but this one does not melt, it rather burns. Probably not enough glycerine content.
It is merely a price-quality bargain and if you want a real treat in the mornings you need a more expensive soap. I ain't buying this one next time around. Try Mama Bears maybe (Col Conk is a luxury).
