Ichabod Conk became a colonel whilst fighting in the American civil war. In 1866 he travelled to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he met a woman soon to become his wife. His new wife owned several barber shops where Colonel Ichabod Conk began to learn the barbering profession.
It was during this time that Ichabod developed his own line of distinctive shaving products which he later decided to sell across America. Ichabod died in 1898 as a rich man but unfortunately there was no-one to continue his successful business.
Fortunately the brand has been brought back to life and now the legendary Colonel Conk shaving products are once again available throughout the world.
